| Description du revers | The reverse depicts a detailed architectural rendering of the Pha That Luang Grand Stupa of Vientiane, its towering gilded spire rising into a radiant sunburst field that dominates the upper right of the design. To the left foreground stands a robed figure, likely representing King Setthathirath, who commissioned the stupa's construction, shown in profile holding a ceremonial object. The Lao script legend 'ພະທາດຫລວງ' curves along the upper left periphery. A flat panel at the base of the design bears the Latin inscriptions 'PHA THAT LUANG' and '450' in bold relief, commemorating the 450th anniversary of the monument. |
