Obverse description Central shield bearing the quartered arms of Gelderland and Zutphen, each quarter displaying a rampant lion, surmounted by a royal crown with foliate decoration. The denomination numeral '6' appears to the left of the shield and 'S' to the right, flanking the arms. The date 1691 is inscribed above the crowned shield. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire device, reading MO NO ARG ORD GEL ET COM ZVT, identifying this as the new silver coinage of the States of Gelderland and the County of Zutphen.
