Applied over the host coin's obverse is a prominent oval counterstamp bearing the crowned cypher 'GR' (Georgius Rex) of King George II of Great Britain, applied by Jamaican colonial authorities. The circular legend reads FERND·VI·D·G·HISPAN·ET·IND·REX, identifying Ferdinand VI as King of the Spains and the Indies. |
