The peripheral legend reads HISPAN · ET IND · REX · and is interrupted by the mint mark Mo (Mexico City) and the assayer initials J · J, along with the denomination 8R. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border typical of the milled coinage of the Casa de Moneda de México. |
