Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold thuluth-script legend arranged in multiple lines within an oval or pointed cartouche, enclosed by a prominent beaded border. The inscription reads 'al-Sultan Suleiman' together with the regnal year 1163 AH. The raised lettering is characteristic of the Safavid hammered die tradition, with the script tightly composed to fill the cartouche. The surrounding flat field shows the irregular planchet edges typical of hand-struck Iranian coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.
