备注

The Royal Greenland Trade Department held a strict monopoly over all commerce in Greenland, and these notes circulated exclusively within that closed system — they were never legal tender outside it. Issued in 1819 under Frederick VI, they functioned more as trade tokens within a colonial barter economy than as conventional banknotes, redeemable only at the Department's own trading posts.

The rigsbankskilling denomination places this issue in the years following Denmark's 1813 state bankruptcy, when the old riksdaler system was being dismantled and replaced. Currency reform was still unsettled at the point of printing.
