Metallwerke Holleischen was a forced-labor munitions factory operating within the concentration camp system in occupied Czechoslovakia — a satellite of Flossenbürg. The camp's internal currency, of which this 6 Reichspfennig denomination is one of the more unusual fractional values, was issued solely for use at the factory canteen. Workers were paid in scrip rather than Reichsmarks precisely to prevent any accumulation of real currency that might fund an escape attempt.
The odd denomination — 6 Pfennig — suggests pricing structures calibrated to specific canteen goods, likely bread or soup portions. No external exchange existed.
