| Beschrijving voorzijde | Emergency municipal treasury note (pénztári utalvány) issued by the mining city of Dobsina, dated 16 July 1849, with the denomination HAT PENGŐ KRAJCZÁRRA (Six Pengő Krajcár) stated in the central text block in letterpress. The face carries three numbered statutory clauses in Hungarian script establishing that the notes are secured by the city treasury against official Hungarian banknotes, that forgery is prosecutable by municipal authority, and that notes must be redeemed within 14 days of the publicly announced redemption date or become void. The lower portion bears the designation 'városi biztos' (municipal commissioner) with provision for an authorising manuscript signature. |

Dobsina — a mining town in the Gemer region of Upper Hungary, now Dobšiná in Slovakia — issued emergency scrip during the revolutionary period of 1848–49, when the Hungarian uprising against Habsburg rule severed normal monetary supply lines across much of the interior. These municipal notes were authorised locally out of necessity, not by any central banking authority, and the 6 Pengő Krajcár denomination is among the more unusual fractional values to survive from that chaotic episode.
The dark blue paper stock is a distinguishing feature of this issue and aids authentication — contemporary forgeries of similar municipal scrip were almost invariably printed on plain white stock.
