Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King George VI, executed in high relief after a model by Percy Metcalfe. The king is depicted in a dignified portrait style consistent with British colonial coinage of the period. The surrounding legend reads KING GEORGE THE SIXTH in Latin script, with the abbreviated title PM completing the inscription. The field is plain, and the portrait is positioned centrally with fine detail in the facial features and neck truncation.
