Obverse description Left-facing crowned and draped effigy of King George V, engraved by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal, wearing the Imperial State Crown and military uniform with collar detail visible at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a flat field, with a fine beaded border encircling the design. The circumferential legend reads GEORGIVS V D.G.BRITT: OMN: REX F.D.IND:IMP:, disposed around the bust in Latin abbreviation denoting his full royal and imperial titles.
