Reverse description A square-topped crowned shield of the Royal Arms, quartered with the arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland, is centrally placed and overlaid with a smaller inescutcheon bearing the arms of Hanover, itself surmounted by a crown. The shield is encircled by the Garter bearing its motto in raised letters, surrounded by a fine beaded border. The date appears in the exergue below the shield, within the Garter legend.
