| Obverse description | Fifth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicted in right-facing bust wearing the George IV State Diadem and a drop earring. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and crown ornamentation. | Reverse description | Central field features the royal cipher E II R in large interlaced letters beneath the St. Edward's Crown, all rendered in high relief. The date, split on either side of the cipher (e.g. 20-16), flanks the crowned monogram. The entire central device is enclosed within a decorative wreath of flowers and foliage tied at the base with a ribbon bow, evoking the traditional sixpence design aesthetic. The denomination SIXPENCE is inscribed in a curved legend along the upper periphery, with the engraver's initials JB situated in the lower right field. |
