Obverse description Central device depicts the Stora Kopparberg (Great Copper Mountain) at Falun, rendered as a stylized rocky mountain mass with radiating sunburst above. A small mintmaster's initial or control mark appears within the design. The date is inscribed in the lower portion of the field, divided by the base of the mountain motif. The overall design is characteristic of the copper token coinage associated with the Swedish copper-mining region, struck in low relief on a plain flan.
