背面描述 Centrally placed incuse oval cartouche enclosing a single Chinese character rendered in seal script (tensho), set against the plain, heavily textured cast silver field. The character 改 (meaning 'revised' or 'reformed') is executed in the formal seal script style characteristic of official domain authentication marks, confirming the piece's status as a reformed or re-certified issue. The surrounding field exhibits the typical irregular, porous surface of hand-cast late Edo period domain silver coinage.

附加信息

Kubota Domain — the commercial name for the Akita han — issued this piece during the final, fractured decade of Tokugawa rule, when dozens of domains were producing their own silver currency to manage acute shortages of nationally sanctioned coinage. The fūgin designation marks it as domain silver, legally restricted to circulation within Akita's borders, though in practice such boundaries were poorly enforced near port towns and post roads.

The .985 fineness is unusually high for domain silver of this period, when most han were quietly debasing their issues to cover mounting fiscal obligations.
