Reverse description The reverse displays a prancing horse leaping to the right, the traditional heraldic symbol of the House of Welf and the duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg, rendered in high relief against a plain field. Below the horse, flanked by two six-pointed stars, the fractional denomination '1/6' and the date '1693' are inscribed. The surrounding legend reads 'SOLA BONA QUÆ HONESTA' ('Only those things are good which are honorable'), a motto associated with Ernest August. A beaded inner circle separates the central design from the outer legend, and the coin's milled edge border is visible.
