Obverse description Central field dominated by the Bavarian arms: a lozenge-patterned (fusily) shield displaying the characteristic blue and white diagonal lozenges of the Wittelsbach dynasty, rendered in relief on a plain field. The shield is depicted without additional supporters or mantling, consistent with the simplified Kipper-era coinage style. A circular beaded inner border frames the central device. The surrounding legend reads SOLI DEO GLORIA (Glory to God Alone), a pious motto commonly employed on Kipper coinage of the period, distributed around the periphery in Latin capital letters.
