Württemberg-Oels was a minor Silesian duchy held by a cadet branch of the Württemberg line — not Stuttgart's concern, but a separate Piast-descended inheritance absorbed through marriage. Karl Friedrich ruled this pocket territory during the final, grinding years of the War of the Spanish Succession, when silver coinage across the fragmented Empire was chronically debased or withheld. That this small court managed consistent six-kreuzer production across seven years is itself notable given the fiscal strain on minor German states during that period.
