These billon 6 Kreuzer pieces were struck at Breslau during Frederick's occupation of Silesia following the First Silesian War — coins minted for a population that had been Austrian subjects just months earlier. Frederick exploited the existing Silesian mint infrastructure and deliberately kept the denomination familiar to locals rather than imposing Prussian monetary conventions outright. The KM#894.1 variety is distinguished by its specific die pairing from the Breslau facility, separating it from otherwise similar issues of the same years.
