| Obverse description | Central field displays the quartered Saxon coat of arms — featuring alternating barry and semy of hearts — surmounted by an elaborate ducal crown. The escutcheon is flanked on the left by an olive branch and on the right by a decorative foliate branch, both issuing from the base. A small mint mark appears at the bottom center of the field beneath the shield. The design is rendered in fine relief with no peripheral legend, the entire composition framed by the coin's milled border. |
