| Obverse description | Central ornate interlaced CF cypher within an oval cartouche, surmounted by a princely crown and flanked by elaborate mantling draped symmetrically to either side. The cypher, rendered in a highly decorative interlaced style, occupies the full field of the shield. The overall composition reflects the baroque heraldic aesthetic characteristic of early eighteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage. |

Christoph Franz von Hutten served as Prince-Bishop of Würzburg from 1724 until his death in 1729, making his pontificate one of the shortest of the 18th century for that see. This 1728 issue was struck in the penultimate year of his tenure, during a period when the Franconian Circle's smaller silver denominations were under persistent pressure from debased imitations circulating across the region's fragmented political boundaries.
Helmschrot 606 is the standard reference for this type, with no major die varieties documented for the 6 Kreuzer denomination of this reign.
