Charles II of Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn ruled the Bishopric of Olomouc for two decades during the long Catholic recovery of Moravia following the Thirty Years' War — a period when episcopal mints across the Habsburg lands were striking small silver aggressively to meet the chronic shortage of fractional coinage.
