Obverse description Three displayed eagles arranged in triangular formation — two in the upper field and one below — enclosed within crossed olive and laurel branches, the whole surmounted by a princely crown. The heraldic eagles, characteristic of the Leiningen arms, are rendered in high relief with outstretched wings. The initial 'L' appears in the lower exergue beneath the branch arrangement, serving as an abbreviated issuer's mark. The coin field is unadorned save for the central armorial device, and the rim is bordered by a fine dentilated edge.
