The armorial composition is flanked on the left by an olive or laurel branch and on the right by an elaborate foliate spray, both framing the central heraldic design. No peripheral legend appears on this face. The engraving is executed in a bold, somewhat provincial late-Neoclassical style characteristic of small German states of the early nineteenth century. |
