| Obverse description | The arms of Leiningen-Dagsburg-Hartenburg displayed as three displayed eagles arranged in a triangular formation within the field, the whole surmounted by a princely crown at the top of the coin. The armorial composition is flanked on the left by an olive or laurel branch and on the right by an elaborate foliate spray, both framing the central heraldic design. No peripheral legend appears on this face. The engraving is executed in a bold, somewhat provincial late-Neoclassical style characteristic of small German states of the early nineteenth century. |
