Obverse description The crowned Saxon coat of arms, depicting the barry of ten sable and or with a bend-like stripe (Rautenkranz), is centrally displayed within the field. The shield is surmounted by a ducal crown and flanked on both sides by oak branches tied at the base, forming a wreath. The legend SACHSEN MEININGEN arcs along the upper periphery, and a small mint initial K appears at the base of the design.
