Reverse description Central device depicts a stylized crescent or annulet motif rendered within concentric circular borders, characteristic of the Körtling denomination of the Jülich-Kleve-Berg series. The surrounding field carries the Latin pious motto legend IN DEO SPERAVIMVS, partially legible around the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. The strike is weak in areas, a common feature of hammered billon pieces of this period and denomination. The surface shows the typical granular texture of low-silver billon alloy, with the legend letters irregularly spaced due to manual die application. The overall composition is austere and functional, befitting a small fiduciary circulation piece.
