Obverse description Crowned and armored right-facing bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great), King of Prussia, rendered in high relief with finely engraved detail. The king wears a royal crown adorned with pearls and decorative elements, beneath which his periwig falls in flowing curls over the nape of the neck. The bust is draped in plate armor with a gorget visible at the base, giving a distinctly martial character to the portrait. The circumferential Latin legend FRIDERICVS BORVSSORVM REX runs along the rim, identifying the monarch as King of the Prussians.
