Reverse description Full-length standing figure of Saint Ladislaus (László), patron saint of Hungary, depicted facing forward wearing a crown and royal armor, holding a long-handled battle axe or halberd in his right hand and an orb in his left. A small castle or tower emblem appears in the lower left field, representing the Körmöcbánya mint mark, flanked by the mintmaster's initials F and G. The date 1540 is split across the field to the left of the saint's figure. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads S LADISLAVS REX, identifying the patron saint.
