| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse depicts two traditional Croatian gajeta falkuša sailing vessels under full lateen sail, rendered in fine relief against a burnished field representing open sea. The boats are shown underway, their characteristic triangular sails billowing dramatically and overlapping to create a dynamic, layered composition that fills the central field. A small engraver's initial appears in the lower left field. The curved legend GAJETA FALKUŠA arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 2025. is inscribed at the bottom of the field in an elegant serif typeface. |

The falkuša is a double-ended lapstrake fishing boat native to the Dalmatian island of Vis, and one of the very few traditional Adriatic vessel types for which continuous, documented construction methods survive into the present century. UNESCO added the craft and its associated sailing knowledge to its Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2016, which is almost certainly the proximate reason the Croatian National Bank chose it as a subject. The gajeta designation refers to the broader family; falkuša specifies the Vis variant, distinguished by its movable washboards — the fàlke — that raise the freeboard in open water.
