Obverse description Ornate oval shield bearing the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, surmounted by an ecclesiastical hat (galero) with pendant tassels and the archbishop's crozier and cross-staff in saltire behind. The shield is set within a decorated inner circle with elaborate baroque cartouche work. The encircling legend, commencing at 12 o'clock, reads the full Latin titulature of Archbishop Max Gandolph von Kuenburg as Archbishop of Salzburg, Apostolic Legate, and Prince of the Holy Roman Empire.
