The subject is depicted wearing ecclesiastical robes with a pectoral cross suspended on a chain at the lower right. The hair is styled in loose curls falling to the shoulder, consistent with mid-18th-century aristocratic convention. Above the shield, a prince-bishop's crown is prominently rendered. The circular Latin legend surrounding the design reads D • G • EPISC • PATAV • S • R • I • PRINC, with the date 1753 incorporated into the legend at upper left. The finely milled border frames the reverse with a uniform toothed rim matching the obverse. |
