Obverse description Central shield in elaborate Baroque cartouche displaying the pine cone (Pyr), the heraldic symbol of Augsburg, set upon a decorative column with acanthus scrollwork and foliate ornamentation flanking either side. A mural crown with battlemented towers surmounts the shield, symbolizing the city's status as a free imperial city. A mintmaster's mark appears below the shield in the lower field. The encircling Latin legend reads AVGVSTA VINDEL AD NORM CONVENT 1760, separated by dots, running along the beaded inner border.
