The shields are joined by elaborate Baroque scrollwork and drapery, with the engraver's initials G·F·N· inscribed in the central field between the lower shields. The peripheral legend MONETA / AVREA REIP / NORIMB. runs around the coin within a beaded border, interrupted by the decorative arrangement of the arms.
