| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Ferdinand IV of Naples facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed periwig falling in loose curls over the shoulders and ornate lace cravat visible at the truncation. The effigy occupies the majority of the coin's field, reflecting the Baroque portraiture style prevalent at the Neapolitan court. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust along the periphery, punctuated by centered dots. The mint engraver's initials B·P· appear in the lower field beneath the bust truncation, flanked by dots. |
