背面描述 The reverse of this square klippe piece displays the denomination and date inscribed in three horizontal lines at the centre, enclosed within a dotted inner circle, which is itself contained within a dotted square border. A trefoil ornament decorates each of the four angles between the circular and square frames, providing elegant decorative punctuation typical of early seventeenth-century Danish coinage.

附加信息

Christian IV's large gold multiples of 1604 were not circulating currency in any practical sense — they functioned as presentation pieces and diplomatic gifts, a practice the Danish crown used deliberately to project wealth during a period of aggressive Baltic trade competition with Sweden. The king was eighteen years old and newly independent of his regency council when these were struck, and the Copenhagen mint was being pressed into service for political theater as much as commerce.

Fr#45 is scarce in any condition. Survivors in institutional collections show remarkably little wear, consistent with pieces that moved between treasuries rather than pockets.
