Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Philip III facing left, rendered in low relief in the hammered style typical of Sardinian coinage of the period. A crown appears above the effigy. The abbreviated Latin legend encircles the bust within the field, identifying the monarch as King of Aragon and Sardinia. The flan is irregular, as is characteristic of hammered copper issues of this series.
