| Obverse description | The complete coat of arms of Barbados occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by a dolphin (fish) to the left and a pelican to the right, surmounted by a fist grasping two crossed sugarcane stalks. A ribbon scroll below the shield bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The date is split to either side of the arms, with '20' at left and '21' at right, each flanked by a trident symbol. The country name BARBADOS arcs boldly along the lower rim in large relief lettering, with a beaded border encircling the entire design. |
