| Obverse description | Blue-black on pink underprint. Central vignette shows a shepherd herding a flock of sheep across a pastoral landscape with hills in the background. The denomination 伍仟圓 (5000 Yuan) is printed in large Chinese characters at center-left, with the bank title 西北農民銀行 across the top, serial number and prefix letter in red, and two red seal impressions at lower center; the Republic of China year 三十六年 (Year 36) appears at the bottom. |
