| Obverse description | Printed in red and olive-green on plain paper, the obverse carries a central vignette of an agricultural scene with farmers plowing flooded fields before a mountain range under a radiant sky. The bank name in Chinese characters (晋察冀边区银行) appears at the top, with the denomination 伍仟圓 (Five Thousand Yuan) in large characters across the centre. Serial numbers appear at left and right, and the numeral 5000 is printed in red at the lower corners within a decorative border. |
