| Obverse description | Central vignette shows a pastoral landscape with a large flock of sheep being herded across open grassland, mountains visible in the background under a wide sky, rendered in fine intaglio line engraving. The bank title 中國人民銀行 is printed in horizontal letterpress at the top, with the denomination 伍仟圓 in an ornamental cartouche to the left. Corner numerals reading 伍仟 appear in all four corners, with the date 一九五一年 along the lower border and two red seal impressions flanking the central vignette. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by three large symmetrical guilloche rosette medallions arranged horizontally, with the numeral 5000 printed in bold letterpress on either side of the central medallion. The top register carries the bank name in Uyghur Arabic script, and the denomination is likewise rendered in Uyghur script within the central field. The year 1951 appears in a decorative frame along the lower border, the entire design executed in a single brown ink with intricate lathe-work borders. |
