Reverse description A dynamic high-relief depiction of two Ssireum (traditional Korean wrestling) athletes occupies the central field, one competitor lifting and throwing the other in a characteristic waist-belt grapple, conveying vigorous athletic movement. The Seoul 1988 Olympic Games official logo, comprising a stylized Taeguk emblem above the five Olympic rings, appears to the lower right of the central motif. The legend 'XXIV OLYMPIAD SEOUL 1988' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, while the denomination '5000 WON' is inscribed in the lower exergue.
