Comments

Note Printing Australia's polymer substrate for this denomination includes a transparent window integrated into the design — a feature NPA has refined across multiple Pacific island currencies and which Vanuatu adopted relatively early in the region. The 5000 Vatu sits at the top of the circulating series, making it the note most likely to carry advanced security treatment while also being the least frequently handled in everyday transactions.

P#19 represents the 2017 revision of the series, updated partly to address counterfeiting concerns that had affected earlier paper issues.
