Commenti	Thomas De La Rue has printed Tanzanian notes for decades — this series continues that relationship without interruption. The 5000 Shilling denomination is the highest in the current Tanzanian series, which in practical terms means it bears the heaviest security specification of any note in circulation there, including the holographic strip that De La Rue introduced to the series during this period's print runs. Tanzania's shilling has remained relatively stable since the hyperinflationary episodes of the 1980s, when 5000 would have been an extraordinary sum. By 2010 it represented roughly two to three dollars U.S. — a denomiation used daily, not hoarded.
