| Obverse description | At left, the national arms of Uganda superimposed over an outline map of the country, with the motto ribbon inscribed FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY at the base; at lower right, a smaller arms vignette within a hexagonal cartouche. The centre is dominated by a large guilloche rosette incorporating the numeral 5000, with two facsimile signatures of the Governor and Deputy Governor below, dated 1986.
