| Obverse description | Central vignette presents a sasando, the traditional harp-like instrument of Rote Island, rendered in fine intaglio engraving against a backdrop of traditional Rote Island woven textile (tenun). The Garuda Pancasila national emblem appears in the upper right, flanked by the issuer title BANK INDONESIA; the large numeral 5000 in guilloche-bordered cartouche occupies the upper left, with the Bank Indonesia monogram in a rosette at lower left and a row of denomination micro-printed security circles along the bottom margin. Two manuscript signatures appear on the left field above the titles DIREKSI / GUBERNUR and DIREKTUR, alongside the year date 1992. |
