Transnistria's paper currency in the early 1990s was improvised under pressure — the breakaway republic declared independence from Moldova in 1990 and needed instruments of exchange almost immediately, with very limited printing infrastructure. The 1994 high-denomination notes arrived amid severe inflation that had already rendered earlier issues nearly worthless in real purchasing terms.

The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field almost certainly refers to a date embedded in the watermark paper stock or a reused security paper specification, not an actual print run — paper dated to the final days of World War II would be an extraordinary coincidence rather than a cataloguing fact to take at face value.
