The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower field. The engraver's initials 'CB' appear near the bust truncation, attributing the design to Calmon Barreto. The legend 'SANTOS DUMONT' arcs along the upper periphery of the coin. The portrait conveys a dignified, commemorative character consistent with the medallic tradition of Brazilian coinage of the 1930s. |
