| 备注 |
This note belongs to Portugal's transitional moment after the October 1910 republican revolution, when the new government needed circulating currency but lacked time — or perhaps political will — to commission entirely new designs. The 7th print interim issues were produced from existing Banco de Portugal plate work, with republican overprints or modified vignettes replacing monarchist imagery, a stopgap that created a visually hybrid series unlike anything issued before or after.
Bradbury Wilkinson had supplied intaglio work to Banco de Portugal for years, and London printing continued uninterrupted through the political upheaval — the republic changed the face of the currency far more than it changed the supply chain.
