备注

Argentina's chronic inflation through the 1960s eroded the peso's purchasing power so severely that a 5,000-peso note — an almost unthinkable denomination a decade earlier — became routine pocket money by the end of this series' run. The Banco Central issued it across a seven-year window precisely because no single replacement denomination proved stable enough to retire it cleanly.

Giorgio Nicastro's engraving work for the Casa de Moneda was among the more technically accomplished domestic plate work of the period — Argentina had long relied on foreign security printers, and this series reflected a deliberate push toward fully in-house production.
