Reverse description A three-quarter right-facing bust of King Fernando VI occupies the central field within a beaded circle, depicting him in period costume with a full, curled period wig and lace cravat, rendered in moderate relief. The upper arc outside the beaded circle bears the legend M QUINTO CENTENARIO, separated by dot stops, with the Madrid mint mark M at the left and a small rosette ornament at the right. The denomination 5000 PTAS is inscribed in large characters across the lower field between the beaded circle and the outer rim.
